SERVICES
Broadly defined as follows:
Proofreading – taking your existing text and checking spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and overall sense; all suggested changes will be marked up using a Track Changes function or equivalent.
Editing – taking existing text and proofreading (as above) plus providing feedback and recommendations to improve flow, readability, consideration of audience needs, consistency of tone of voice, and restructuring if necessary; likely to include adding, removing and/or reordering text.
Writing – creating text from your brief/raw information to meet agreed objectives, includes any necessary research and any edits or changes following feedback on a first draft.
QUALITY
All text returned (whichever service has been provided) will be grammatical English (your choice of UK, US, Australian or other agreed variation), to fit the intended audience, and in line with any agreed house style or tone of voice.
INVOICING
For one-off commissions, an invoice will be issued on your acceptance of the completed item. For ongoing work, invoices will be issued monthly (usually on the final working day), covering all work completed in a calendar month.
Invoices are payable within 30 calendar days of the invoice date. Payment may be via PayPal, or by direct bank transfer to either a UK or Spanish account (your choice). Other payment options are possible.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
On payment of the invoice, full license to use completed texts (whether proofed, edited or written) is assigned to you in perpetuity. The transfer of rights shall include all transferable rights to the works, globally.
CONFIDENTIALITY
All information provided by the you in connection with work done, whether by document, electronically, in conversation, or any other means, will be treated as confidential and not be disclosed to other clients or third parties. The only exclusions would be any information that is publicly available and/or was already known.
Any information provided by you during our collaboration will not be used for personal benefit (outside of the agreed work and subsequent invoice, of course!) nor will it be made available to anyone outside of the our working relationship.
